Committee Description

This committee supports interests of large and small businesses as employers, fostering the connection with education systems to ensure a high quality workforce. It celebrates and promotes the value and breadth of Statesboro-Bulloch businesses. It encourages support for local business, encouraging area citizens to shop local and “invest in Bulloch.” It supports the Development Authority of Bulloch County in its effective outreach and service to the area’s large businesses. Programs may include industry and large business roundtables, mentoring, promoting loyalty to local businesses, and recognitions such as Manufacturer of the Year and Small Business of the Quarter

Committee Description

This committee serves as a liaison for members and local, state, and federal elected and appointed officials, law enforcement and similar public entities; and top-level administration for East Georgia State College, Georgia Southern University, and Ogeechee Technical College. Initiatives in 2017 should include relationship development with the community’s newest leaders in county and municipal law enforcement, elected positions, city and county management and collegiate leadership. The committee also offers Blue Mile Revitalization and helps determine and administer an annual Community Leadership Conference.
