Demographics and Population

Statesboro-Bulloch County is a regional hub for the surrounding counties because it boasts numerous employment, retail, and educational opportunities.  We are also the third most populous county in the Coastal Georgia region behind Chatham County and Glynn County. Statesboro’s diversified population is mainly attributed to our three colleges and universities. We are grateful to be home to Georgia Southern University, Ogeechee Technical College, and East Georgia College. In addition to these two institutions, we also have a Statesboro campus for East Georgia College which is located 40 minutes away in Swainsboro. These students will graduate with the skills necessary to play a vital role in our community.  Not only do we have a growing student population, but Bulloch County is the 27th fastest growing county in the United States.  People are realizing the benefits of locating in Bulloch County, and our recent population growth is reflecting that benefit.
